Introducing our new game called:
“Don’t Be A Di*k During Meals With Friends.”
The first person to crack and look at their phone picks up the check.
Our (initial) purpose of the game was to get everyone off the phones free from twitter/fb/texting and to encourage conversations.
Rules:
1) The game starts after everyone has ordered.
2) Everybody places their phone on the table face down.
3) The first person to flip over their phone loses the game.
4) Loser of the game pays for the bill.
5) If the bill comes before anyone has flipped over their phone everybody is declared a winner and pays for their own meal.
Variations/house rules:
-Starting the game after everyone is seated.
-In the rare event that multiple people flip their phones simultaneously, the bill is split between said players.
- Feel free to invoke penalties/strikes systems.
Notes:
- No touching or messing with anybody else’s phones.
- You don’t have to stack the phones. This was done for picture taking purposes.
- I realize I should perhaps think of a different name for this awesome game. Because I don’t mean to imply that everyone who checks their phone during meals is a di*k.
- I recommend not being such a stickler or hardass on people about the rules and even initiation of the game. Basic premise is to just get people open to the idea of staying active and attentive to one another. But if someone has to take a call; they have to take a call =).
- Have fun! It’s really more of a fun concept in this new age high tech life of ours. Conversation is the spice of life.

All iz well

All iz well. aaaaaall izzzz welllll. Thank you 3 idiots for showing me wonderful insight into why we do things. “Not for the job, but for the betterment of society *and self!*.” It was such a fun and entertaining experience watching the movie with Tiffany and being able to laugh and smile about the same things is an amazing experience that I am I am blessed to have been able to share. I’m finding that I sometimes skim through life and my relationships with people and begin to phase people out and falling back into previous Marcus who only heard what he wanted. Active listening is something that I think I can always try to improve.

3 Idiots is such a relateable movie that really moved me and really pushed me to counter my current situation of unemployment and what kind of job/career I want to pursue. I’m still really thinking and praying about what God has in plan for me and tbh I am getting kinda impatient. I want to move on to the next step of my life, but I dont know where God wants me to start. Through Him, all things are possible, gotta keep reminding myself!

Also! Time to start doing specific actions again in every aspect of my life once again! I need to push myself and get started on leads and opportunities that God has placed for me~

T_T i would have totally been that dragon

Optional Option

Why is it that I am so defensive with this one rule? Others I can deal with, but this one rule ruins me. It makes it worse, it stirs turmoil in my body, it confuses me, and leaves me wondering whats on the far side of the bridge.

Disciple

its so crazy and humbling to have people who love you tell you that theyre supporting you, that they want to help you do what you want, that they want to help you discover what is important to you.

i hope that i can have the same effect on people, that my pain and my struggles allow me to share the love of God to others and help them in their struggles too.

to be friends disciples of one another, under Christ and for Christ. lets do it boys and girls, we gotta be those who stand for Him when others are scared.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
